With regard to the Chinese tattoos, in real life I’ve used, almost down to the word, the same argument against them as Jack Dee does here and I’d never even seen this before!
Because in europe the the company that manufactures it names it Cif but in the UK it has always been sold under the name ‘Jif’.
so i guess they finally decided to change it which saves them money on printing labels etc, and over the course of time this will add up to a lot for a company when you think about the volume they sell at.
no point in printing 100 million cif labels and changing things o to print just 1 million ‘Jif’ labels for example
Lol I Actually Have A Chinese Tattoo Symbol On My Left Shoulder That Means Family. But I Actually Got Mine Checked Out By A Professional Before Getting It Done
This guy is so funny - and he’s right - they are Marathon bars !! LOLAnd he’s right re the haircut - how many times have you said “oh well, - it’ ll grow ” ? LOL

I actually think ‘chopsticks’ is quite a lot cooler as a tattoo than ‘love’.
Yeah, thanks. It was kind of meant as a rhetorical question though.

just another piece of useless info i know lol
A friend of mine had to deal with a strong humiliation when a chinese waitress made him notice that his tattoo meant “chopsticks” rather than “love”
no it doesnt lol, there was another product on the market called jif already so they changed it to cif
my friend got freedom on his arm but it actually said sweet and sour chicken, useful if i ever wanna go to china and say yeha i want that for lunch
Ok I Trust You Were Intelligent Enough To Do This
hahaha saucepan
That’s sensible. I know of someone who had a Chinese symbol on their arm and they though it said: “Love”. It actually said: “Saucepan”.
It was something to do with the pronunciation in Eurpoean countries. Cif is apparently more Euro-friendly.
Why did they change Jif to Cif?
I always say “thats great” to my barber…even though sometimes I would’e liked it different:D:D
